Salvation
God loves you so very much. God was not satisfied with that love being a secret to you and I. The bible says that God proved His love to us. God the Father sent forth His only Son into the world to be the sacrifice for the sins of the world.
Romans 5: 8-11 But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us. Therefore, since we are now justified acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin's dominion) through His ]resurrection] life. Not only so, but we also rejoice and exultingly glory in God [in His love and perfection] through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have now received and enjoy [our] reconciliation.
Why did we need a Savior?
The scriptures declare that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. In the book of Genesis God reveals to us mans great transgression. Adam, the first man and his wife Eve, disobeyed the commandment of God. God told Adam in the day that you eat of the fruit you shall surely die.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Sin separated us from God and judgment was passed on all mankind. The judgment was death. It was not only a physical death but also spiritual death. If Jesus had not come and lived a sinless life, suffered, died and was raised from the dead we would have received the penalty for our own sin, which is eternal separation from God. Jesus purchased or randomed us with the offering of His own blood to the Father. He was the lamb of God that was slain to take away the sins of the world.
Romans 5:6 While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly.
1 John 4:9-10 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
You are precious to God and He does not want you to live apart from Him one more day. Now that you know He loves you and that He is not mad at you call upon His name today and ask Him to save you.
Romans 10: 9-13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Hebrews 10:16-17 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more
Pray this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus, I believe what the bible says that you love me. I believe according to the scriptures that Jesus is the Son of God and that he lived a sinless life and died on the cross for my sins and was buried but rose again on the third day. I believe you are a God of mercy and grace. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Come into my heart be the Lord and Saviour of my life. I receive salvation now in Jesus name, amen.
